Science Diving Training

The scientific diving training is divide it in two programs:
1) Under water Archaeology
2) Scientific Diver
The training for this specialty, can be made in open or closed circuit, and can be conducted in underwater caves or in the sea, according the level of training and experience of the candidate.
The CMAS Scientific Diving Commission is member of UNESCO and follows their conservation and scientific protocols.

 

Archaeology Diving Course


This is a scientific level certification course for recreational or technical divers wishing to integrate and be part of an underwater archaeological survey team. The objective of this course is to train divers in the planning, hazards and proper procedures and protocols for surveying shipwrecks or any type of archaeological element in caves or in the sea.
This course can be taught in open water or overhead environment using double tanks or single tank according the level of training of each candidate.
a) Days Require:  Min 5 Full Days
b) Academic Hours: 16 Hours Min
c) Require Dives:  6 Open Water Dives
d) Training Sites:  Island of Cozumel, Q.Roo, Mexico.  Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida) or other foreign countries with open water or cave diving conditions.
e) Certification Level: The candidate must be Advanced Open Water Diver or 1 Star Diver with at least 50 non training dives in log book.
Training Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements a Underwater Archaeology certification can be issued through CMAS Scientific Diving Program.
Course Cost:    1 Diver 600, 00 usd,      2 or more Divers 500, 00 usd.

 

Scientific Diving Course




This is a technical level certification course for recreational or technical divers wishing to integrate and be part of an underwater biological project. The objective of this course is to train divers in the planning, hazards and proper procedures and protocols for survey, monitoring and collecting species with proper techniques, protocols for university’s or scientific organizations, the dives can be conduct in caves or the sea.
This course can be taught in open water or overhead environment using double tanks or single tank according the level of training of each candidate.
a) Days Require:  Min 8 Full Days
b) Academic Hours: 30 Hours Min
c) Require Dives:  10 Open Water Dives
d) Training Sites:  Island of Cozumel, Q.Roo, Mexico.  Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida) or other foreign countries with open water or cave diving conditions.
