Cave Diving

CAVERN DIVER COURSE

This program is designed to develop the minimum skills and knowledge for cavern and overhead environment diving, within the limits of light penetration; in addition outlines specific hazards associated with cave diving. The Cavern Diver Course is not intended to provide instruction for cave diving environments.

The objective of this course is to train scuba divers in the proper planning, procedures, techniques, hazards and proper conservation approach to this unique and fragile environment.

a) Days Require: Min 2 Full Days

b) Academic Hours: 6 Hours Min

c) Require Dives: 4 Cavern Dives

d) Overhead Environment Training Site: Island of Cozumel, Q.roo, Mexico. Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida), the state Tamaulipas (Ciudad Victoria and Ciudad Mante) and other foreign countries with underwater cave environments.

e) Certification Level: The candidate must be Open Water Diver or 1 Star Diver with at least 50 non training dives in log book

Training Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements a certification can be issued by National Association for Cave Diving (NACD) Technical Diving International (TDI).

If divers are interesting, we also offer training through the Mexican Federation of Diving Activities (FMAS), which is under the standards of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Cave Diving Group. The name for this class according FMAS/CMAS standards is Cave Level 1.

Course Cost: 1 Diver 450, 00 usd, 2 or more Divers 350, 00 usd.


This tour, is in the cavern zone (within the day light zone) with great conditions on each site, the diver will be expose to a very unique and fragile environment, rich in speleothemes and cave fauna.

The Cenotes we use for this type of tour, are just perfect for this type of diving, in terms of crystal clear water, shallow depths, big spaces, no flow, warm water and incredible geological formations inside of each cavern !

We can take you any place you are interesting in dive on the Island of Cozumel or Riviera Maya. We have plenty of sites for you and your group.

The only requirement is being certified as Open Water Diver or 1 Star Diver, with at least 25 dives on log book.

The trip takes at least 6 hours, we depart early in the morning at around 7 am from Cozumel, and we return at 4 pm to the island. During the trip we conduct 2 Cenote Dives and also included tanks and weights, lunch and sodas, guide service, ferry from Cozumel to the Riviera Maya round trip, ground transportation, Cenote fee.

All is included except the diving gear and the flash light, we offer rental equipment.

This course is the introduction of the basic principles of cave diving, utilizing a single primary guide line. Intro to Cave program is the second level in the development of safe techniques for cave diving, directly building upon the cavern diver course. The introduction to cave diving is not intended to train divers for all facets of cave diving.

The objective of this program is the perfection of skills taught in the cavern diving program, in addition to the adoption of additional techniques and procedures required for elementary cave dives.

a) Days Require: Min 3 Full Days

b) Academic Hours: 6 Hours Min

c) Require Dives: 4 Cave Dives

d) Overhead Environment Training Site: Island of Cozumel, Q.roo, Mexico. Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida), the state Tamaulipas (Ciudad Victoria and Ciudad Mante) and other foreign countries with underwater cave environments.

e) Certification Level: The candidate must be Advanced Open water Diver or 2 Star Diver with at least 50 dives on log book

Training Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements a certification can be issued by National Association for Cave Diving (NACD) Technical Diving International (TDI).

Course Cost: 1 Diver 850, 00 usd, 2 or more Divers 650, 00 usd.

This course is the third stage of training in the development of full cave divers. Advanced cave dive planning, the practical execution of different types of caves systems and scenarios divers encounter are presented. This cave diving course is not intended to prepare divers for evaluating all facets of cave diving.

The objective of this course is to expand and critique previous skills accomplished in the cavern and intro to cave programs. Emphasis is placed upon dive planning and skill perfection through actual complex cave penetration.

a) Days Require: Min 5 Full Days

b) Academic Hours: 8 Hours Min

c) Require Dives: 8 Cave Dives

d) Overhead Environment Training Site: Island of Cozumel, Q.roo, Mexico. Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida), the state Tamaulipas (Ciudad Victoria and Ciudad Mante) and other foreign countries with underwater cave environments.

e) Certification Level: The candidate must be Advanced Open Water Diver or 2 Star Diver with Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures certification with at least 150 non training dives in log book

Training Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements a certification can be issued by National Association for Cave Diving (NACD) Technical Diving International (TDI).

If divers are interesting, we also offer training through the Mexican Federation of Diving Activities (FMAS), which is under the standards of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Cave Diving Group. The name for this class according FMAS/CMAS standards is Cave Level 2.

Course Cost: 1 Diver 950, 00 usd, 2 or more Divers 850, 00 usd.

This program is designed for experience scuba divers and open water technical divers interesting in complete the 3 stages of overhead training in a single program.

This cave diving training is conducted in doubles tanks from the first day of training, according the progression of the candidate, more complex dives are conducted during the week.

Divers interesting in this program please submit their background information, and proof of advanced level of training, or experience by presenting a log book.

a) Days Require: Min 8 Full Days

b) Academic Hours: 12 Hours Min

c) Require Dives: 16 Cave Dives

d) Overhead Environment Training Site: Island of Cozumel, Q.roo, Mexico. Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida), the state Tamaulipas (Ciudad Victoria and Ciudad Mante) and other foreign countries with underwater cave environments.

e) Certification Level: The candidate must be Advanced Open Water Diver or 2 Star Diver with Nitrox, Advanced Nitrox and Deco Procedures certification with at least 150 non training dives in log book

Training Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements a certification can be issued by The National Association for Cave Diving (NACD) Technical Diving International (TDI).

If divers are interesting, we also offer training through the Mexican Federation of Diving Activities (FMAS), which is under the standards of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Cave Diving Group. The name for this class according FMAS/CMAS standards is Cave Level 2.

Course Cost: 1 Diver 1,450.00 usd, 2 or more Divers 1,250.00 usd.

I offer training for advanced cave divers, interesting in their continuing education for safer and more enjoyable cave dives.

This programs are for execute more complex dives, where distance, small spaces or just better planning are part of the dive.

During you training the technical instructor will require:

Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida), the state Tamaulipas (Ciudad Victoria and Ciudad Mante) and other foreign countries with underwater cave environments.

e) Certification Level: The candidate must be Advanced Open Water Diver or 2 Star Diver with at least 150 open water non training dives in log book, also must be a full train cave diver with at least 50 non training cave dives in log book. This is for any of the specialty’s.

Certification Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements a certification can be issued by National Association for Cave Diving (NACD) Technical Diving International (TDI).

If divers are interesting, we also offer training through the Mexican Federation of Diving Activities (FMAS), which is under the standards of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Cave Diving Group. If the candidate complete a sidemount, stage diving, mix gas diving (Trimix), and has knowledge on vertical rope techniques you can obtain the FMAS/CMAS Cave Diver Level 3.

Side Mount Training Course Cost: 1 Diver 500, 00 usd 2 or more Divers 400, 00 usd

Stage Diving Training Course Cost: 1 Diver 400, 00 usd 2 or more Divers 500, 00 usd

Cartography Training Course Cost: 1 Diver 450, 00 usd 2 or more Divers 550, 00 usd

This service is for train Intro to Cave or Full Cave Divers, interested in guided dives in Cozumel Underwater Caves and Riviera Maya Caves.

Also we conduct expeditions to remote locations such as Merida Region (Yucatan Peninsula) and private guide service in other countries such as Florida, Cuba and Dominican Republic.

I can guide you in any place you want to dive in Cozumel such as Aerolito Cave System, La Quebrada Cave System, Cocodrilo Cave System, or on the mainland in any site you are interested.

I highly recommend you dive on the island of Cozumel, the cave are fantastic and very unique, if you are tired of the caves in Florida or Akumal you must try the ones we have in this beautiful island, they are highly decorated.

For this trip, you must be cave certified by any recognized international cave training agency and show log book.

If you are a Closed Circuit Rebreather Diver with experience in Cave Diving, I can also guide you and provide you soda sorbs and tanks for your CCR.

If you have a group or a particular plan please don’t doubt in write.

The price included: Double Al 80s or Y or H Valves for single tank, Isolation Valves on doubles, Transportation to the sites, Cenote fee, and guide fee. In case you want to dive on the mainland in the Tulum region or Akumal, the ferry to cross is not included.

For cave expeditions in the country on international please ask for details and prices.

If you are an experienced open water instructor with experienced in overhead environment you can be a candidate for this institutes.

During this program you are NOT learning how to teach or how organize and conduct a safe cave dive, you must be already experience guiding in cavern o caves and you must have a letter by another cave diving instructor recognizing your experience and also co-teaching in different cave diving levels with at least one cave instructor.

In this institute you will be evaluated in protocols, planning, standards and procedures, leadership, communication skills, safety, and many other topics.

For this type of evaluations the candidate must contact directly before apply for this level of teaching.

The candidate must be fitness, 21 years or older, have a medical approval, have at least a recommendation letter by another cave instructor from any international cave diving agency.

a) Days Require: Min 4 Full Days for each instructor level

b) Academic Hours: 30 Hours Min for each Instructor level

c) Require Dives: 6 Cave Dives

d) Overhead Environment Training Site: Island of Cozumel, Q.roo, Mexico. Also my training is available in Playa del Carmen, Tulum, and Akumal, also in the state of Yucatan (City of Merida), the state Tamaulipas (Ciudad Victoria and Ciudad Mante) and other foreign countries with underwater cave environments.

e) Certification Level: The candidate must be open water instructor, full cave diver, Oxygen administrator, first aid instructor, 150 non training cave dives.

Training Agency: Once the candidate approves all the requirements, a certification can be issued by Technical Diving International (TDI) or Federacion Mexicana de Actividades Subacuaticas A.C (FMAS) and World Underwater Federation (CMAS)
